Add interaction with your classroom presentations by using Google Slides Audience tools. Slides Q&A makes it easy to interact with your audience and allow students to ask questions during your instruction. Students use an internet connected device (iPad, Smart Phone, laptop) to connect to the presentation URL. A back channel is created to allow questions and comments to the presenter in real time. Digital learning is the effective use of technology to strengthen a student’s learning experience and expose students to different tools and applications to empower the learning atmosphere. Digital learning provides access to educational opportunities for student-centered learning to ensure college and career readiness for all students. What is digital learning day? DLD is the opportunity to expose students of all ages to technologies that promote critical thinking and problem solving skills. Technology is opening up the doors to actively spread innovative practices and ensure that all students have access to high-quality digital learning opportunities.
Here are some examples of Interactive Lesson Plans for the celebration of DLD or search Participate Learning, a free collection and collaboration site, and quickly find lessons or resources for your classroom. “Let’s visualize technology not as a tool, but as a Game Changer” Student iPads are limited in space and resources. When students are creating content on the iPad, such as pictures and videos, those resources will remain on the iPad until deleted. The best practice is to have students upload content to Google Drive from the iPad when the project is completed. After uploading photos and video to drive, delete the files from the iPad. When using certain apps (iMovie, ChatterPix or Sock Puppets) students need to delete their project files from the iPad as well.
A simple method for deleting content from ipads can be found in the Instructions on deleting video projects and photos. In order to delete iMovie project files, one must delete the project files from within the app as well. Computers are everywhere, but fewer schools offer computer science programs to students than 10 years ago. Each year Code.org encourages students all over the world to join in for an Hour of Code. Code.org made history with over 100 million students trying an Hour of Code. The Outlook Junk Email Filter doesn’t stop delivery of junk email messages, but does the next best thing—it moves suspected spam to the Junk Email folder.
It's a good idea to regularly review messages in the Junk Email folder to check for legitimate messages that were incorrectly classified as junk. If you find a message that isn’t junk, drag it back to the Inbox or any folder. You can also mark the item as not junk by doing the following: * Click Home > Junk > Not Junk. You can also drag junk email from your Inbox to the Junk Email folder to have Outlook recognize future junk emails. By default, the Junk Email Filter is turned on and the protection level is set to No Automatic Filtering. You can make the filter more aggressive by changing the level of protection that it provides. The Junk Email Filter evaluates each incoming message based on several factors. These can include the time when the message was sent and the content of the message. To change the options for the Junk Email Filter, do the following: * Click Home > Junk > Junk Email Options. Select the options you want Outlook to use to recognize Junk Email and click OK. Have you noticed that some people have a picture by their name when you send an email? Want to have a profile picture too? Log into the new email system and change your profile picture. This instructional video will show you the simple steps on how to change your profile picture. Classroom also allows students to keep track of assignments in one simple location. Teachers can quickly see who has or hasn't completed the assignment and provide direct, real-time feedback in Classroom. Google Classroom is easy to set up and all BISD Teachers and Students have access to it already.
